I feel Art is a language and the artist an orator; the greater one’s vocabulary the better one can express oneself. I have sought to widen my vocabulary by improving my skills and knowledge of my craft. On the way I have chosen the path of Figurative painting.

My training and love of artists such as Klimt play a strong role in much of my work, where the combining of decorative design and naturalism creates a unique piece, the one complimenting the other.

I am an admirer of the Old Masters and Artists such as Degas, Whistler, Sargent, Wyeth and Hopper, amongst many others. I hope some of their influences can be found in my paintings.
